Okay, here's why I can't take Max clothes shopping. He immediately takes off for the nearest rack, giggling, and climbs inside to hide! Then all the other customers get to see this crazy mommy pulling a kicking and screaming toddler out of a clothing display.
Sometimes a box of raisins will keep Max quiet in the car. The fact that Gabe does not like raisins adds to the fun! Max has noticed that if he offers Gabe a raisin, Gabe reacts violently with disgust and squishes himself as close to the car door as he can get. And if Max fires a few at him, Gabe acts as if he's been struck by napalm!
Today Gabe spent his allowance on a second Ultimate Humungousaur. His rationale was that the packaging was slightly different on this one ...
... But, it's the same darn toy, and now he has two of them. He said, "Mom, do you think it was stupid for me to buy another Humungousaur?"
During the pause while I was gathering my tact, Dan offered, "No, not at all if that's what you really wanted. It's your allowance!"
So, I got away without having to comment.
Today all the kids played in the sprinkler.
Nathan is the kid who gets the biggest kick out of it!
