Today is the last day of Dan's first week at his new job. Sounds like it's going great! (Dan's work ethic is one of the first things I noticed about him, back in the days at Klein's.)

But perhaps Brian exhibited the most extreme work ethic today ... Here he was telling us about how he got up last night around midnight, got ready and headed out the door to go to work. Clari had to stop him and direct him back to bed!

Today was Joe's last weekday before starting 2nd grade. He met his male teacher ...

... and so did Gabe. (Well, Gabe met Joe's teacher, that is!)

Whatever Joe's doing to Gabe in this picture led to a fight between them shortly after.

After the meet-the-teacher thing, Mom and Dad took the three older kids to a jumping place called Bouncing Bears. Then they came home and played with bubbles! Grandma and Buddy's "day care" is really the best around ... (and the prices can't be beat)!

This little guy stayed with me.

Every time Nathan comes to our house he takes a superhero pencil from the pencil cup.

And today I conceived the idea that will grow to be the Cowan-Starr Compound Halloween Party of 2010! Getting excited about it already!
