Max's milestones.

Max is 11 months old today.  So what is he up to nowadays?

He's crawling around everywhere, inside and outside!  Although not much interested in walking, he loves to pull himself to a standing position whenever he has something to hold onto.

Here are his favorite people, in the order of how much he likes them.  Tied for first are Grandma and Buddy!  Going to them is nearly always trading up!

In second place is Mama.  (That is, unless he is hungry or tired.  Then Mom is number one!)

Next comes Daddy (who can also be first if he is making silly faces)!  Otherwise Dan says Max regards him as "plain vanilla" flavor.  Daddy can sometimes get Max to say, "Thank you!"  (or something that sounds like it).  In addition to "Mama," and "bah" (ball), these might be considered first words!

Fourth place is his loving-but-annoying big brother Gabe!

And his favorite objects?  Number one has to be his ball.  Don't try to take away Max's ball!

Here are some other things he loves:  remote controls (to change the station), raisin boxes (to empty out), baby wipe boxes (to empty out also), and Mama's computer (to pull the keys off of)!  He pulled off my 'U' key just this morning.

To eat he likes most anything.  His favorites are sweet things like fruits (raisins, grapes, apples, bananas, but not peaches), yogurt, oatmeal, bread, Cheerios and Rice Krispies, and vegetables (carrots, broccoli).  He will eat egg yolks but makes horrible faces and coughing noises when he does!

Ahem.  This is the picture Gabe took of Max today when he got hold of the camera.

Our little Maxie is sweet and easy-going for the most part.  He gets the biggest kick out of the smallest things, like when Gabe clears his throat, or Daddy makes a face, or Mama lets him touch a tree branch.  We love introducing him to this big new world.
