Today Elizabeth came over and we made cultured vegetables (a.k.a. raw sauerkraut, or "stinky cabbage," as the family calls it). Since Max doesn't like the noise the food processor makes, Dad babysat ... and put him in a bucket. (He seemed to like it!)
Ahhh ... I can smell the fermentation just looking at this picture. (Maybe because they're still sitting on my counter.) Delicious!

I needed a bigger bucket for the bigger kid.

Mark, Christian and Ian came and fed the turtles with Gabe, Joe, and Maya.

Maya, who is afraid of Fidget, trying to make friends with him by feeding him turtle bread ... and keeping him at a "safe" distance ...

... and then she found an even safer place.

Christian, swinging the three boys while fending off the puppy.

Oops ... Ian didn't know you're not supposed to pick up kitty litter and drop it in the dog's bowl.

Washing Ian up let to a water war!

Here's Gabe, looking sullen about some perceived slight perpetrated by Joe. By the way, the internet got fixed today! Yay!
