The Black Spiders.

Today was the first practice for Gabe and Joe's new soccer team.  They'll be called the Black Spiders.

Their team uniform is black with a white stripe.  I thought they could be the Zebras or the Oreos, but maybe those names are kinda fruity.  Brian jokingly suggested the Pandas, but that didn't get any votes.  Gabe wanted to name it the Killer Whales, which would've been kinda awesome, except for the recent press ...  (It says Pirates on his shirt here.  That also might have been a better choice ...)

Joe had suggested the Black Scorpions.

In the end, apparently the Black Spiders won out because all three girls on the team voted for it together.  The less-cohesive male majority made the mistake of each player voting for his own suggestion.

Here's Fidget, almost getting his stupid self run over as they left for practice.

Max and I missed the practice because he needed a nap.

Buddy also stayed home to work on his garden.  He has driven Uncle Jamey to his radiation treatments the last two days.

Here's Gabe holding the sea monster toy I bought for him at the Goodwill thrift shop today.  Funny that he loves this 50 cent toy just as much as the ones we get for $15!

Max woke up happy and ready to play!
