Our kids are eating too much "boo."
"Boo" is a term coined by Max. At first it just meant "food," but in time it evolved a new meaning in our family culture. Now "boo" refers usually to kiddie fruit snacks but can also describe any kind of candy or sweet junk food.
Every night the kids go from house to house to see who has some "boo!"
Joe now has cavities in his teeth similar to when Gabe was five and had to go get his metal "robot teeth." So Grandma, Clari, and I have decided to stop buying candy!
I think that with our efforts now, we can still save the other three from early dental work!
I think that giving them candy helps us in the short term, but improving their diet will help them in the long-term. (And fruit snacks are just candy, even if they put vitamin C in them.) Who's with me?!!
Poor Maya had a traumatic day. First she went to the doctor and got shots, and then Buster got loose from his chain and jumped all over her. (Buster = overcome with glee to have a new playmate. Maya = overcome with terror when she saw him coming.)
