This morning I woke up to a strange smell in the house, like someone having a cookout.
The fires around us are still burning, and folks are still being evacuated. Some who have gone back home have been re-evacuated!
Our sky has been darkened by smoke clouds for days.
And this afternoon it started raining ashes.
Max was really excited to see Daddy when he came home from work today! Playing Pocket God.
Gabe has just realized what's going on with the fires around us, and he is predictably freaked.
