Today we took the kids to Burroughs Park!
Joe made it all the way across, swinging on the loops ...
... and little Maya just posed in front of them!
Gabe made a dangerous (but impressive) climb up the back of the tall tunnel slide.
Picnic lunch on the elevated deck!
Not sure why the kids were irritated here.
Headed back down. Max spotted a dirt pile that we've never seen here before!
I think the dirt pile is there because they dug the pond deeper, to try to keep it full during the drought.
Looks like Joe was falling down the edge (but he wasn't)!
You can see the low level of the pond here, and the dirt pile they dug in the distance behind Mom and Maya.
Taking a walk around the pond!
Mom wanted me to take a picture here because she had an old picture of Gabe and Joe in the same spot ...
Here it is!
We didn't bring any bread for the ducks, but the kids threw rocks, sticks, and pine cones into the pond.
Three disappointed geese, coming after Max!
Joe and Gabe heroically kept this tree from falling on Grandma.
Maya led us into the woods.
Max was starting to get tired and hot.
Back to the playground, riding the dino ...
Just like we've done in years past! (Gabe here.)
Joe was with us that time, too!
That's back before they had this little sand playground with the animal statues.
After this we headed home!
That was our day at the park!
