We woke up this morning to discover the kitchen just crawling with ants! Egad!

Max wanted to be sure I noticed! Today he learned to say, "Ant." (But it sounds more like "at" or "ott.")

Max is big into exploring everything he can get his hands on. Our problem is that with exploration comes destruction! He pulls all my dental floss out of the box, immediately pours out any liquid he can get his hands on, and smashes everything against the ground to see what will happen. He is delighted when he discovers he has the power to manipulate and change his environment.

Here are Gabe and Maya building with blocks ...

... and here comes the little wrecking ball, kicking as many blocks as possible as he shuffled across the floor.

They were calling him Max-zilla.

Here's Gabe with another Ben 10 puppet Grandma made him. Yesterday Grandma showed him a dictionary, and that was his first time to learn what a dictionary was! Today I told him we were going to brainstorm about Halloween, and he didn't know that "brainstorm" was a real word, and not just a Ben 10 character. This week in his little class he learned what a century is. Little firsts ...

Also, today I told him the story of the Titanic.

Grandma made him this character from Dragon Ball Z, named Broly.

Here's the picture Gabe drew of him. The boys just got into Dragon Ball because of a video game they've been playing. (I guess this opens up a whole new line of toys we need to buy now -- another disaster!) Gabe is the ultimate toy collector.

Max is still learning to play nice with his toys!
