X-Com is my favorite video game (to watch, not play) of all time! Granted, I generally dislike video games. But not this one!
We fought an epic battle to save Earth from the aliens when I was in college. Now we are playing again!
We have two new spectators.
Here's Daddy handling the tactical game, building bases; recruiting soldiers, scientists and engineers; arming our ships and shooting down alien spacecraft.
Our favorite part of the game is having a team of soldiers, whom we can name after all the people we know!
By chance, Gabe and Joe both emerged alive after our first mission and have ascended the military ranks as leaders.
Casualties have included Daddy (twice), Buddy, Brian, Scooby Doo, James Madison, Spongebob Squarepants, Ben Tennyson, Kevin Levin, and some kids from Gabe's school and soccer team ... We have suffered heavy military losses to the aliens ...
Other military leaders who have ascended the ranks are Shaggy (avenging Scooby) ...
and Kingdok.
Unfortunately, the UK has signed a secret pact with the aliens and has dropped their funding to us. Hope we can still save the world!
