HMNS.

Poor Max never knows where he's going to be when he wakes in the morning!

This morning it was in the car on the way to the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

Grandma, Buddy, Gabe, Joe, Maya, Max, and I were the adventurers on this trip.

It was Max's first time to visit this museum, so Gabe got to show him the sights!

Silly face.  The dinosaur hall was smaller than before ...

This guy came out and explained to us that they are expanding it!  He said they have 5 dinosaurs now, but soon they'll have 59!

(Maya holding coprolite -- dinosaur poop.)  The guy also said that they're getting a simulated glass-bottom boat where you'll be able to look down and see prehistoric sea creatures!

(Joe holding the poop.)  They're also getting a Titanic exhibit.

All of these new exhibits will be there starting in May of next year!

Oops ... I wasn't supposed to photograph this real mummy.  (Saw the sign afterward.)

Gabe will be learning more about Egypt this year in an Ancient Civilizations class he's going to take in co-op.

Max liked the animals.

I thought this white wolf was kind of scary and impressive.  (Guess Max didn't.)

Looking down at the dinosaur exhibit.

Max, crawling all over the information panels to look at ...

... another alligator.

Here's our whole party!  (Minus me.)

I wasn't supposed to take pictures here either.  (Oops!)  Joe said this Eskimo Indian guy was creepy.

Gabe wanted to find Madagascar on the Earth ball.

Dad showed the kids the statue of Sam Houston and told them that the fact that one of the horse's front feet was lifted meant that he did not die in battle.  While we were in the museum we saw a display with an Indian on horseback.  Since all the horse's feet were on the ground, Joe surmised that he must have died in battle.

On the way home ... here's Max, smiling to try and charm Maya, who was mad at him!
