Today we went to "School Days" at the Renaissance Festival!
It was a cool day, and it was muddy ... Didn't rain on us though.
Taking in the sights ...
Gabe wanted to ride on one of the big swings. (He and Dan are on the left side of the swing in this picture.)

Max was just delighted to see all the animals in the petting area!
Max calls both sheep and goats "ba-ba" when he see them in books. He was so excited to put real faces with names, meeting some of these critters in person!
Once Max is ready to be put down and walk on his own, there's no changing his mind. (Many times the reason he wants down, though, is because he prefers to walk in the direction opposite of where the rest of us are headed.)
When Gabe went in to play the "test your strength" game, he was disappointed when they led him to the kiddie version. He wanted to be the strongest and ring the bell on the adult version.
Dan found someone's cell phone and went to turn it in at the lost and found. Here's a family shot taken while he was gone ... somehow we gained a couple of family members.

After some very hard lobbying, Gabe convinced us to let him ride the big bounce thing.
And up he went!
We shouldn't have hesitated, because his reaction made it all worth it!
Coming down ...
Max had enough. When he was ready for his nap, we decided to use this opportunity to have a pleasant drive home!
