Today was the boys' last soccer game (since we'll miss the December 4th game because of the wedding)!
That's disappointing, because I feel like the games are just starting to get exciting! Gabe and Joe suddenly seem to be good at this! They care about the game score, and they are mad when it's their turn to sit out!
They call up each player at the beginning of the game and clap. (Here's Gabe being called.)
Joe scored a goal!
And "Rocket Foot" did some great defense.
Whenever I go to the games, so does Max ...
And when Max comes, it means that at least one adult does not get to watch the game.
The game had to be halted at one point when this baby ran into the field, and began screaming when the other team's coach removed him. Surprisingly, he was not quickly claimed by anybody!
After the game, Grandma and Buddy took Joe and Gabe on a field trip.
To the Liendo Plantation for their Civil War reenactment!
Gabe and Joe, with a cannon ...
... in a foxhole ...
... on some kind of fort ...
... back at the camp ...
... and at the plantation ...
Chillin' on the porch. (Gabe said, "That house smelled bad.")
And having their own little battle.
It's been a big day for our troops. Goodnight!
