Buster eats a balloon.

So, this morning we started out with a trip to Half Price Books, Toys R Us and Wal-Mart.

Got Gabe this new shirt today.  When we got home, it was time to play outside!

The kids had fun blowing up these long balloons.

You just pump them up with the bicycle tire pump ...

Let go ...

... and send your kids chasing after them.  (They love it.)  This was going great until ...

... one went over on Buster's side of the fence, and he got hold of it.  Since he eats plastic bags, we were not surprised about what happened next.

I tried to take it from him, but I failed.  He ate it.

We don't know what's wrong with him.

We decided to try to let them go far away from the back yard fence.

Joe and Gabe let the yellow one go on the other side of the house, just to be safe.

But guess where the wind took it?

Mom kept Buster focused on some cookies while Dad went in to rescue the balloon before it got eaten.

He found it in a tree, so Buster couldn't get it anyway.

What a dumb dog!

Max awoke from his nap muttering in his sleep, "Boon-boon Buddy.  Boon-boon Buddy."  ("Boon-boon" is how he says "balloon" now.)  Then we went to Granny and Gramps'.

What's on the agenda for the upcoming week?  Gabe has three homeschool Thanksgiving dinners and a trip to the zoo (if the weather is decent)!  Good night!
