Dogs in a Manger.

Grandma, Buddy, Dan and I all showed up at Gabe's little school at 1:30 to watch their Christmas play, called Dogs in a Manger.  Gabe played the part of Grumpy Dog #2.

The room was crowded with parents who came to see the show!

My little Grumpy Dog was the only kid who knew all his lines.  Here he is with Grumpy Dog #1.  The two had a line or two to say simultaneously, but Gabe wound up saying them by himself!

Here are the sheep and the shepherds.  When we practiced the skit each night, Max often took the part of the sheep, anticipating when it was time to say, "Baa baa baa."  When the sheep actress fumbled for lines a bit, I was thinking that maybe Max could have helped ...

Max was a spectator in the back row, appeased with a constant stream of  tiny bits of peppermint candy to keep him quiet.

It was so much fun to watch!

Great job, Gabe!!!!

By the end, Max was ready to come back to Mama.  

Thanks, Dad, for letting me enjoy the play.

We stopped at Target on the way home and got Gabe a little toy.  Dan got this purple sock hat (for some reason).

Here's Max, running away from me when we got home because he didn't want to go inside (and because he just loves it when I chase him)!

Guess what ... My new camera came in the mail today!  It'll probably be a couple days before you'll see pics with it because I have to take the time to figure out how to work it.

Here's Daddy, helping me shape balls for the cookie dough truffles we're bringing to the co-op Christmas party tomorrow.
