Boots and ducks.

Today Max started saying the word "boots," so I put a pair of boots on him so he'd be sure to make the connection.

But once the boots were on, he did not want to take them off!

Gabe put his on too.

Although he doesn't want to take them off, Max is not yet skilled in walking in rubber boots.  He was walking around at like 1/10th his normal speed, but seemingly enjoying every step.

Brian is off this week, and today we all went to the library and the pond at Rosewood Hills to feed the ducks.

Max is very interested in ducks.  Here he is chasing one off the bridge.

It's so nasty the way they put dye in the water in the Rosehill pond.  It looks so awful and unnatural.

Max's head fit between the wooden posts on the bridge.

Enjoying the swings.

Brian was telling the kids about the crazy adventures he used to have at this pond when he was little.

The green water hose they tied up in one of the trees is still there, all these years later.  (It's up there very, very high!)

Life has changed a lot since then!

Max didn't want to leave the ducks behind ...

... but was happy to get back to playing in his boots again.  By the way, he is not sick anymore.  Not even sniffling at all.
