Last night Mom called us to the barn to look at Fidget, and he did not look good.
At the time he was lying in his bed and wouldn't get up or move much. His eyes were red and rolled back in his head, his neck was swollen, and he was grunting with each breath. He appeared to be on the verge of death, and I pet him for awhile and said my goodbye, just in case he didn't make it till morning.
But he did make it. This morning Mom took him into the vet. They said he had a double eye infection and an abscess in one eye ...
It could have been from a cat scratch, but it looked more like a puncture than a swipe. So, we don't know why. They gave him a shot for the swelling in his lymph nodes, and some drops for his eyes.
So glad our doggy is still with us!!
Gabe witnessed the whole drama of the situation. The other kids weren't around ...
... and of course, Max didn't get it.
Going out to the Halloween woods ...
Grandma pulls around a wagon full of decorations.
The first things we put up are always the decorations that won't be harmed by the rain.
The party is one week from tomorrow!
Gabe and Joe, playing with the decorations ...
Maya, trying to use what she's learning in kindergarten to read the signs!
Buddy decided to leave the Christmas lights up ... But none of them worked!! So he had to take them down and replace them with Halloween lights.
Goodnight!
